I haven’t turned pro in Flickr. I might in a few days but for now I chose to just let the old pictures flow out. Will blog one picture as soon as they upload.
So am I, however, I already reached the limit for free accounts in Flickr- 200 pictures. To upload and post more pictures, I either have to delete (free up) some of my older pictures or upgrade to Pro. For $24 and then some a year, I think that’s a good deal, but I’m still weighting things.
I have other options - host my own pictures because I have free space in my server or go to other picture hosting services. But I started to like Flickr because I can email my pictures and blog about them through my Blackberry Pearl. If I go host my own pictures, I won’t have that functionality. I may if I just know how to program but I don’t. I’ll think first and see.
I also maintain some pictures in my mac.com subscription. That one I cannot discontinue. I love the fact that I have a .mac account and personal space.
As soon as you’re seeing pictures again in my blog, that means I have decided to go to Flickr Pro.
It’s really a last minute 3 weeks in the making trip. Confused? So am I.
Whateve it is, the important part is we’re now here. After we checked in the hotel, we just changed and off we went to eat. Guess where… McDonalds!
After dinner we walked around 4 blocks to Empire state building. Luckily it’s still open. I’m happy we knocked out one place to visit. Tomorrow we’re planning to go to the statue of liberty and the Brooklyn bridge.
Here’s my contribution to the 24 Hours of Flickr for the May 5 affair. I woke up and fired-up my PC, coffee in hand, with my 2 mice standing by. I took a photo that reminded me the day of ready, set, shoot some photos!
I hope this gets added to the book, since this is the only appropriate picture that I took that day. I actually took friends’ pictures at a party, but I know not one of them will picked. So I just picked this one.
